IB dryer and exhaust vents are used as compatible vents to fit most common exhaust ducts applications such as dryer or gas vents, heat stacks, chimney vents, and bath or kitchen vents. Locate the position where the vent will be placed. Connect the vent pipe to the exhaust pipe. Tighten the hose clamp and apply tape where the two pipes meet to prevent any exhaust leakage. Secure the flange of the vent to the roof deck using IB-approved fasteners at each corner. Install a provided pipe flashing over the exhaust pipe, if not already done, and weld the target to the field membrane to form a one-and-a-half-inch welded seam around the entire target flashing. Install the vent hood over the pipe flashing and tighten it to secure it into place.
Upon completing the installation, ensure all seams and laps are inspected and probed. If deficiencies are found, the area must be re-welded or repaired.
