Corporate Technical Services Representative - Grapevine, TX Based
Position Summary:
The general scope of this position is to provide both general and specialized internal and external technical support for various types of support requests such as but not limited to review of reviewing construction documents, drawings, and plans, applications for warranty (NOA), warranty claims, inspection reports, request for information (RFI) for technical and specification documentation, product literature, product certification, code compliance, submittal packages, substitution packages and communication of IB policies, best practices/technical guidance related to products, installation and/or services and warranties. This position requires interaction using various communication mediums such as but not limited to; phone, video conferences, electronic and written correspondence, as well as in-person dialogue. This position requires frequent interaction with various types of interested parties such as but not limited to; contractors, general construction entities, design and engineering firms, consultants, IB internal and external personnel, building owners and property management entities. This position requires the person to be able to multi-task and handle varied tasks and projects throughout the business day while navigating a wide range of specialized demands and volumes. In all respects a positive, congenial and helpful attitude shall be displayed.
Essential Skills and Requirements
Education, Preparation, and Training:
- Requires minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
- 5 years of commercial roofing experience with a min. of 2 years of thermoplastic single ply experience or a combination of roofing experience and industry supplier experience (distributor/manufacturer) or a combination of roofing experience and design experience (design/consultant firm).
- Clean driving and credit record.
Skills:
- Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills are essential.
- Excellent composition of thought in an organized written technical structure is essential.
- Knowledge of the roofing and construction industry
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, details, and general estimating software/principles.
- Requires ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with high levels of urgency or sensitivity.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to converse, read and write in English. Spanish is a plus but is not required.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Office 365, (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Salesforce, MS Teams (desired)

IB Field Technical Representative – SOUTHEAST
Field Technical Representative - Southeast
Position Summary:
The Field Technical Representative is responsible for providing a variety of inspection and training services to support and educate IB Sales Representatives and the IB network of Applicators (aka contractors). The position requires a candidate be self motivated and an ability to work independently. IB maintains that its employees follow the three guiding principles of IB: To provide Quality Products, Exceptional Service, and Technical Expertise in the areas of low-slope PVC roofing and liquid applied coatings.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and schedule travel, inspections, and customer meetings with appropriate IB Technical Department and territory field personnel.
- Train customers (roofing contractors) on proper installation techniques on all application methods of IB Roof Systems products and roofing systems and the most current IB specifications. This occurs both in shop trainings and on the rooftop.
- Assist Sales and Marketing personnel in product demonstrations to prospective and existing customers.
- Perform a variety of inspections including job starts, interim, finals, two-year, and warranty transfer inspection as well as perform key forensic investigations such as leak investigations and product complaint investigations.
- Provide accurate technical field reports and inspection reports with related photo documentation in a timely fashion to the IB Technical Department.
- Provide project updates and status to open project lists in a timely fashion to the IB Technical Department.
- Review customer orders in a timely fashion and provide technical assistance to project stake holders as needed.
- Assist with field technical meetings such as pre-bid/pre-job conferences as needed.
- Communicate with Technical Department management regarding personal and equipment needs.
- Assist in providing accurate and timely technical information to customers and other project stake holders.
- Provide technical support via phone or e-mail in the absence of in-house technical representative.
- Participate in cross training activities across the IB Technical Department.
- Attend out of town meetings, seminars, and trade shows as required.
Essential Skills and Requirements:
- Requires minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
- 5 years of low slope roofing experience with primary experience in Single-Ply roofing installation or equivalent experience in rooftop operations, including heat welding, detailing, and specifications work.
- 2 years of liquid coating system installation or equivalent experience in rooftop operations including spray applied techniques, coating application, detailing and general coating knowledge.
- Ability to read and understand Division 7 of project specifications, including project details.
- Proof of eligibility to obtain required security clearances to work on Local government, State, Federal and Military installations as required.
- Ability to drive and operate a company vehicle including a current driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Skills:
- Customer service oriented.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English.
- Spanish language fluency is desired but not required.
- Knowledge of the roofing and construction industry required.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, details, and general estimating software/principles.
- Requires ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with high levels of urgency or sensitivity.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards recommended.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to periodically lift at least 100 lbs.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Sales Representative
Position Summary:
The Sales Representative is responsible for supporting our sales and growth efforts in regional locations. We have many areas and regions for you to choose from. Reps facilitate the sale and delivery of IB Roof Systems products. Educate and promote growth of roofing (emphasis on commercial products). Ability to train individuals or small groups with emphasis on general product knowledge, application techniques and best practices. Develop and maintain close working relationships with the Regional Sales Manager, IB Territory Sales Managers, contractors and client leads. Implement IB product and set quality and service expectations to clients, provide feedback on market conditions, maintenance of clients and marketing materials provided. The role:
We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team and work closely with our experienced sales and technical teams to learn about the roofing industry, products, and practices. In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing customer support to their assigned territories' sales team and customer base, coordinating sales activities, managing customer inquiries, and processing orders. The ultimate goal of this position is to groom and train the candidate to become an Outside Sales Representative for IB Roof Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders, responding promptly to inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Act as a liaison between the sales team and customers, ensuring that orders and requests are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and communicate with all departments and vendors to ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment.
- Attend sales meetings and training sessions to learn about products, sales techniques, and industry developments.
- Communicating and demonstrating the company’s products, services, and policies.
- Meet KPI metrics.
- Assist with trade shows and other marketing events.
- Participate in industry events and trade shows to promote our products and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in construction, business, or a related field preferred.
