IB Roof Systems Donates 25,000 Pounds of Food to Families in Puerta Vallarta
This Humanitarian Project in Puerta Vallarta started with an initial donation of $5,000 made by IB Roof Systems. With generous donors and IB matching another $2,500, donations exceeded $17,500. This money was used to purchase 25,000 pounds of food from local vendors to be delivered to families in the community.
On February 7th, IB Roof Systems employees, contractors, and their families spent their day packing 500 bags with 50 pounds of food each. The volunteers loaded the truck with the bags and headed over to a village 2 hours away where they unloaded 25,000 pounds of food. IB volunteers successfully passed out all but 50 bags of food.
The remaining 50 bags were donated to the school in the local community for students to have school lunches over the next month! CEO, Jason Stanley, hopes to provide continued support for the school by supporting construction projects for an improved learning environment.
CEO, Jason Stanley, said "I'm thankful to work with a group of people who are willing to go the extra mile to give back," and is looking forward to providing continued support to the community in Puerta Vallarta.
IB Roof Systems thanks employees, contractors, and families for dedicating their time and money to such a significant cause.
